Hi, for all the info about this video lesson go to https://juandarango.com/minor251pt1
This lesson covers a very nice aspect of my technique and playing. Is a lesson of vocabulary, a 4 bar minor licks of a II V I progression. 5 licks in total.
The licks are kind of paths I use a lot in my playing. I tried to be as detailed as possible. Sheet notes and tablature, fingering of left hand, legatos on the Tab and right hand articulation showing exactly the movements of the pick and attack with middle finger.
Is really important to notice that these licks can be played superimposed, be creative!. For example: the hole lick sounds nice over a minor chord, over its relative major chord sound “spicy”!. Over a dominant chord nice , etc!
To get the most of it I recommend first to analyze the lick, try to play it as slow as possible following all the fingerings, right hand technique and legatos, you will see there is a logic on the direction of the phrase with the articulation.
Again, these detail explanations represents the technique I´m developing right now but off course, if you want to change (according to the technique you are approaching, fingering, position in the fretboard, right hand etc), is nice, feel free to do it.
Is really important to analyze the lick and once you know what is happening to transpose it (12 keys please!).
I hope this is useful and that you enjoy it.
Please feel free to comment.
The lesson includes:
