In the following video you can see teasers of the licks
Hi, this lesson covers a very nice aspect of my technique and playing, some approaches are “Hybrid Picking”, “Legato Playing”, “Sweep picking”, “Economy Picking”, among others. Is a lesson of vocabulary, a 4 bar major licks of a II V I progression. 5 licks in total.
The licks are kind of paths I use a lot in my playing. I tried to be as detailed as possible. Sheet notes and tablature, fingering of left hand, legatos on the tab and right hand articulation showing exactly the movements of the pick and attack with middle finger.
Is really important to notice that these licks can be played superimposed, be creative!. For example: the hole lick 2 sounds nice over a lydian chord, over its relative minor chord sound “spicy”!. Over a dominant chord nice , etc! Try to feel the sense of tension-resolve in each lick and apply it.
Is really important to analyze the lick you are studying and once you know what is happening, transpose it (12 keys please!). For the lick #2 it’s ok not to transpose it to the 12 keys due to its nature (but, you can figure it out playing the lick on the 5th string).
I hope this is useful and that you enjoy it.
Dig it.

This is a online friend´s metronome. Is really nice for practicing you can automate different time signatures and tempos. Recommended.
Improvisation over a II V I major approaching the essence of those licks in the context.
